Craniosacral Therapy Support For Mother and Child
Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle, non-invasive hands-on therapy. While you are lying fully clothed on your back or side, depending on your comfort and stage in pregnancy, the practitioner will normally make initial contact at the feet, and then move to key areas that they feel need closer attention. Only light hand contact is used, no physical manipulation is performed. |
The mother and newborn are considered ‘one unit’ in these early stages. The mother and child‘s system’s are finely tuned in to each other, so during craniosacral treatments their system’s can support each other in recovery. This is why both parties are treated to optimise the baby’s treatment. The practitioner works around whatever contact between mother and baby is most soothing for the baby.
